Main Line Health Year in Review 2021 Video
In these most challenging times, we continue to rise up and serve. Our amazing team and sheer dedication are what defines Main Line Health.
–Jack Lynch, FACHE, Chief Executive Officer of Main Line Health

Despite the hardships of the pandemic, Main Line Health has triumphed during adversity, thanks to "The Power of One"—a one for all and all for one mentality and culture. The Power of One is what makes Main Line Health such a great place to work and an even better place to receive high-quality, compassionate care across a broad spectrum of health care services.

Watch Main Line Health's 2021 Year in Review to see what we've been up to and what we're so proud of accomplishing.

In 2021 we:

  • Delivered more than 7,800 babies at Main Line Health hospitals
  • Had nearly a million patient visits
  • Delivered telemedicine (virtual health care visits) to more than 125,000 patients
  • Held weekly and biweekly Town Halls to keep Main Line Health employees up-to-date and engaged
  • Harvested 26,000 pounds of produce and delivered it to food-insecure communities we serve

Not to mention, scores of residents and fellows were trained in our buildings by world-renowned clinicians, paving the way for the next generation of talented doctors and medical professionals.

Main Line Health also made these strides:

Crushing COVID one vaccination at a time

We're proud of our employees and their commitment to education and understanding of the importance of vaccination—for themselves, for fellow staff members, for patients and community.

We all joined in to crush COVID and saw 100% employee vaccination compliance, for those eligible for vaccination.

Industry recognition for quality and safety

We continue to be high ranking for quality and safety and excellence in many specialties such as Cardiology, Colon Cancer, Diabetes, Orthopedics, Stroke and more. Recognition has come from U.S. News & World Report, American Heart Association, and American Nurses Credentialing Center (all four of our acute care hospitals are MAGNET-recognized for nursing excellence), among others.

Innovative and ground-breaking procedures and technologies

Lankenau Medical Center saw many firsts and achievements in 2021, including being the first in Pennsylvania to offer transcarotid artery revascularization procedure. At Lankenau Institute for Medical Research, researchers are breaking new ground in science and medicine with 40+ U.S. and international patents and 10+ licensed technologies.

Diversity, Respect, Equity & Inclusion

At Main Line Health, Diversity, Respect, Equity & Inclusion isn't just something to be aware of or to receive training in. It's part of our culture and it's who we are as a health system, committed to creating a safe, welcoming and respectful environment for everyone we work with and every patient we encounter.

We are further dedicated to providing equitable health care for underserved communities. We stand for anti-racism and we believe that health systems like ours have a responsibility to provide safe care for everyone and to improve health in our communities of color.
