The golf swing is one of the most dynamic and complex coordination of motions in sports. If the body cannot carry out the proper mechanics of a golf swing, it limits the player’s ability to swing the club efficiently and increases a golfer’s risk for injury.

TITLEIST PERFORMANCE INSTITUTE (TPI)

The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) is the world’s leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. Nicholas Leister, PT  is a Level 2 TPI certified physical therapist, who understands how physical limitations can translate to faulty swing mechanics and injury. Through physical assessments he can correlate physical limitations to faulty swing mechanics.

An evaluation using digital video motion will analyze every joint and plane combined with a comprehensive physical exam of the spine, pelvis, shoulders, wrists, hips, and ankles. This evaluation will provide data assessing both mobility and stability as well as faulty swing mechanics that can be used to educate the patient as to how imbalances or deficits can translate to injuries on the golf course.

Following the initial evaluation, a personalized plan will be developed consisting of stretching and strengthening exercises geared towards improving the golf swing and preventing injuries. The TPI experience will have golfers ready for the course in no time.
