Another grade of A for patient safety for Main Line Health’s four acute care hospitals

Main Line Health facilities

Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital recognized by Leapfrog for meeting national standards for excellence

Bryn Mawr, PA — For fall 2024, all four Main Line Health acute care hospitals once again have received a Hospital Safety Grade of A from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to setting standards for excellence in patient safety.

Leapfrog assigns an A, B, C, D or F to general hospitals across the country based on over 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries and infections as well as the systems that hospitals have in place to prevent them. Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital all repeated as recipients of the highest grade, with Bryn Mawr Hospital, Paoli Hospital and Riddle Hospital having received an A in each semi-annual Leapfrog report since the fall of 2020.

“Receiving this recognition from Leapfrog is a testament to the unwavering dedication and hard work of our entire team at Main Line Health,” said Jack Lynch, FACHE, President and CEO of Main Line Health. “Our commitment to patient safety, quality and equity is at the forefront of everything we do. We are proud that a patient can select any Main Line Health hospital and receive the same level of safe, high-quality, equitable and affordable care.”

Main Line Health participates in Leapfrog’s program by sharing information directly with the review team to highlight hospital safety protocols.
