Substance use disorder specialty programs
Trauma and substance abuse treatment
Mirmont Treatment Center provides an exceptional specialty program for trauma. Among the most common underlying factors of substance use disorders is unresolved trauma, neglect, and loss. We treat trauma that stems from any number of experiences. Ignoring these fundamental issues in treatment results in a focus on symptom control rather than addressing the actual causes of addiction and relapse. At Mirmont, two aspects of treatment for trauma are offered, a specialized trauma group called the Phoenix Group and trauma-sensitive services.
Relapse prevention for substance abuse
Mirmont Treatment Center offers the Gorski-CENAPS model to treat the diagnosis of relapse syndrome. Individuals who struggle with relapse syndrome may find it difficult to stabilize, which requires a specific and specialized modality of care. Our specially trained and certified Gorski-CENAPS therapists expertly help uncover early and subtle warning signs of the relapse process. This allows patients to gain an individualized understanding of their exact relapse progression and create a specific prevention plan.
Holistic Pain Management and Addiction Treatment
Mirmont Treatment Center offers an exceptional specialty program for pain management. This program is dedicated to effectively treating pain while challenging cognitive distortions related to pain and implementing healthy coping skills. To achieve these goals, this program uses cognitive behavioral therapy combined with holistic modalities. This collaborative method is effective in treating the addictive person’s pain without the use of drugs and alcohol.
Substance abuse treatment for pregnant women
Mirmont Treatment Center is one of few facilities in the region that offer safe, effective care for pregnant women struggling with substance use disorders. Mirmont treats pregnant women who are up to 36 weeks pregnant. Our quality program is designed with medication and treatment protocols tailored to pregnant women dependent on alcohol, benzodiazepines, opioids, and other substances.
Treatment for Emergency Responders (VIPER and Frontline Resilience Program)
Mirmont Treatment Center provides the nationally recognized Valor with Integrity Program for Emergency Responders (VIPER) and Frontline Resilience Program. Both deliver safety, confidentiality, and cultural competence necessary for first responders. These programs target treatment for local, state, and federal law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, healthcare workers, corrections officers, and Armed forces veterans.
LGBTQ+ supportive services
As part of our commitment to providing a safe, affirming, and comfortable environment for the recovery journey, Mirmont Treatment Center offers group therapy for current patients within the LGBTQ+ community. This group provides an additional opportunity to process specific needs that may be underlying factors related to substance use disorders.
Alumni program
We provide ongoing support and engagement with former patients through our Alumni Program. After an individual has completed treatment, we offer a community that is essential during early recovery. Through this safe and comfortable fellowship, an individual can obtain key foundational elements in their continued sobriety. During inpatient treatment, our patients are given opportunities to develop a rapport with our alumni coordinator and the robust Alumni Program through weekly meetings. Alumni Program involvement encourages and strengthens continued motivation toward growth and change.
