Residency Programs
About residency programs at Main Line Health
Main Line Health offers ACGME accredited residencies in family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics/gynecology and urology. We also sponsor a Podiatry residency accredited by the CPME.
Physicians receive excellent training and are given the tools to meet today's changing health care needs. Our programs offer academic and clinical challenges in an environment of suburban and urban communities that offer excellent prospects for your residency, your family and your future in medicine.
Our programs
Family medicine
The overall goal of the Family Medicine Residency Program is to educate graduate physicians to become specialists in family medicine, physicians who assume the responsibility for providing comprehensive, quality health care for the patient and family.
General surgery
Standing side by side with the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR), the Lankenau Surgical Residency Program is able to offer time in the research laboratory as an option for those residents interested in broadening their academic horizons, enhancing their preparation for surgical fellowships or testing their passion for an academic career.
Internal medicine
Our goal is to train internists who will not only go on to pass their ABIM examination, but dedicate their lives and careers to becoming lifelong learners of internal medicine. We work closely with individual residents to help them develop and achieve their professional goals.
Obstetrics/gynecology
The program is designed for the resident to rotate within different clinical settings and specialties performing diverse duties. During the progression of the residency duties of the resident will increase in complexity and responsibility.
Podiatry
The most important goal of the Bryn Mawr Hospital podiatry residency program is to educate and prepare graduate podiatric physicians for the ever-changing healthcare environment. They will assume the responsibility for providing comprehensive health care for the patient and family with special considerations for the cultural, social, ethnic and economic conditions present.
Urology
The objective of urology residency training is to provide excellence in comprehensive clinical training. Our mission is to establish a dynamic atmosphere where cutting-edge education, surgical proficiency and mentorship, as well as clinical research will help create the next generation of urologic surgeons.
