About
Catherine Weng, MD
Learn more about my services. Dr. Weng is double board-certified in both facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and otolaryngology/head and neck surgery. She has a special interest in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the nose and face. Dr. Weng completed her undergraduate studies at MIT where she studied architecture and design and biology. Although she did not pursue a career in architecture, her training in design has influenced her aesthetic eye in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. She then attended the very selective Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine program at Case Western Reserve University where she was among a small group of 32 students selected to be a novel medical school curriculum with emphasis in research. Dr. Weng then completed a rigorous 5 year residency program in otolaryngology/head and neck surgery at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. After residency, Dr. Weng then completed an additional year long fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with the world renowned Dr. Vito Quatela in Rochester, NY. During her fellowship, Dr. Weng trained extensively in facial plastic surgery including rhinoplasty, facelift, blepharoplasty, as well as office injectables. Additionally, she became passionate about giving back to underserved communities around the world through medical missions which she became involved with during fellowship. She has traveled to Vietnam, Guatemala, and Ecuador performing reconstructive surgery. Dr. Weng continues to dedicate her time to these medical missions today. Dr. Weng practiced facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and ENT for several years in Denver, CO where she also honed her skills in snowboarding, hiking and mountain biking. After starting a family, Dr. Weng and her family moved back east to be closer to family and landed in the Main Line. Dr. Weng is excited to bring her cosmetic, reconstructive, and head and neck expertise to Main Line Health. When she is not seeing patients and operating, Dr. Weng enjoys running with her dogs, and spending time with her family.
