Some laboratory procedures require patient preparation. This may include:

  • Dietary restrictions
  • Special precautions
  • Special collection timing

Fasting is not required for most tests. We advise our clients to consult the specific test requested in our Directory of Services and/or our online Patient Preparation Guide to determine the need for preparation on the part of your patient.

Note: Certain tests in the Directory of Services may require referral to a reference laboratory. In these cases specific test availability schedules may exist. This is especially true with certain special coagulation testing.
