Additional services include:
- Functional communication training
- Fluency management
Voice assessment/treatment
At Riddle Hospital we also perform video fluoroscopic swallowing studies, also referred to as modified barium swallow studies, which are available on an inpatient as well as outpatient basis. They are conducted in conjunction with Riddle Diagnostic Imaging to assist in the diagnosis of swallowing disorders, which can result in dehydration, malnutrition, and pneumonia.
All services are provided by ASHA-certified and Pennsylvania-licensed speech-language pathologists. Assessment and treatment programs are individualized and tailored to meet the needs of each patient. We also place special emphasis on family education and involvement in the therapy process to produce the best possible outcomes.
