Brittni Jones, DO
Dr. Brittni Delores Jones is an experienced psychiatrist and medical director with a career spanning academic, administrative, and clinical roles. Dr. Jones is currently the Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency Program at Main Line Health, Hospital Lead of Psychiatry at Mainline Health Bryn Mawr Hospital and Medical Director of the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. Previously, Dr. Jones was the Department Vice Chairperson of Behavioral Health at Crozer Health, and Department Chairperson of Behavioral Health at Christiana Care Union Hospital. At Christiana Care Union Hospital, Dr. Jones developed an initiative involving monthly meetings with community leaders and hospital staff to address high-utilizer patients and improve outcomes. Her clinical expertise covers a wide range of psychiatric services, from inpatient and outpatient care to consultation psychiatry, substance abuse treatment, and involuntary commitments. In her leadership roles, she has been responsible for overseeing psychiatric evaluations, managing unit operations, updating hospital policies, and supervising students and other behavioral health providers.
Dr. Jones also has a strong background in public health and research, which predates her medical career. Before becoming a physician, she worked for the Florida Department of Health as the State Influenza Coordinator, where she managed data reporting, supervised staff, and assisted in building the state's electronic disease reporting system. She also served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Florida A&M University, where she conducted research on cellular and molecular biology and taught undergraduate biology courses. Dr. Jones holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Florida A&M University, and has participated in numerous awards, publications, and presentations throughout her career.

Juan Jose Gan, MD
Juan Jose Gan, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist with extensive administrative and clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Gan is the former Chair in the Department of Psychiatry at Crozer Health, a position he has held since 2022. He was the Program Director for the Crozer Health Psychiatry Residency from 2021 to 2022. His other leadership roles have included Medical Director positions at Lower Merion Counseling Services and Onward Behavioral Health. Throughout his career, Dr. Gan has provided a wide range of psychiatric services, from crisis evaluations to medication management, and has worked in various environments, including telepsychiatry and within the Philadelphia Prison System.
In addition to his clinical and administrative work, Dr. Gan has a strong background in teaching and scholarly activities. He is an Adjunct Faculty member at Drexel University College of Medicine and Philadelphia College of Medicine. His scholarly contributions include involvement in Crozer Health's Medical Executive and Ethics Committees, peer-reviewed abstracts, and presentations on topics like aggression management and physician burnout. Dr. Gan received his M.D. from Saint George’s School of Medicine and completed his psychiatry residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

Richard Hempel, MD, MA
Richard Hempel, MD, MA, serves as the System Vice Chair of Psychiatry at Main Line Health, where he provides clinical oversight, strategic leadership, and drives the expansion of behavioral health services across the System. In this role, Dr. Hempel coordinates and promotes a diverse array of high-quality behavioral health services while actively identifying opportunities to expand access to psychiatric care. His appointment reflects Main Line Health’s commitment to growing its care footprint and better meeting the behavioral health needs of the communities it serves.
In addition to his leadership role, Dr. Hempel maintains an active clinical practice, dedicating part of his time to outpatient psychiatric care and the supervision of psychiatry residents. He brings extensive experience in hospital-based outpatient psychiatric care across the adult lifespan. His clinical interests include adult ADHD, treatment-resistant depression and anxiety, trauma- and stressor-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and neuromodulation therapies.
A native of New York, Dr. Hempel earned his bachelor’s degree from Sarah Lawrence College and a master’s degree in psychology from New York University. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, followed by residency training in adult psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, at its Morningside and West campuses in Manhattan.
Dr. Hempel later moved to the Philadelphia region, where he served as an attending psychiatrist and assistant professor of clinical psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He then transitioned to Cooper University Health Care, where he most recently held the position of Division Chief of Ambulatory Psychiatry. At Cooper, he was also an assistant professor of clinical psychiatry at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.
During his tenure at Cooper, Dr. Hempel led the integration of four geographically separate practices into a unified ambulatory psychiatry division. He established clinical best practices, oversaw the recruitment of faculty, residents, and support staff, and developed a dedicated Adult ADHD Evaluation and Treatment Service. He also provided direct clinical oversight, launched a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) program in Camden, and completed the Cooper Physician Leadership Development Program in partnership with the American Academy of Physician Leadership (2023–2024).
