Every person is unique and their biologic/disease matrix is just as unique. I approach every person I see with these thoughts upper most in mind so I can truly appreciate what it is that really ails them and how best to address the concerns they may have. I strongly believe that the treatment of any disorder, particularly neurological ones, is a team effort, a therapeutic alliance of patient, physician and family to maximize the quality of life and outcomes.
I was born and raised in suburban New York City and educated in upstate New York, Boston and New York City. I have lived and practiced neurology focusing on movement disorders in suburban Philadelphia and Philadelphia proper since 1981 with my primary location always being Lankenau Medical Center. I have been on the faculties of UPENN and Jefferson, and currently maintain an academic appointment at Jefferson. I have expended considerable time and effort in the clinical research of the treatment of Parkinson disease and dystonias, as well as other neurological conditions. As a result, I have been an author, co-author or contributor to numerous publications in the neurological sphere. I continue to be very focused upon furthering our understanding of complex neurological disorders and advancing their treatment.
