About Samantha Witte, MD

Dr. Witte provides preoperative through postoperative care for patients who pursue surgery to help overcome obesity. She is highly trained in all evidence-based minimally invasive approaches to bariatric surgery, including:

  • Laparoscopic and robotic sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, and revisional bariatric procedures
  • Transoral outlet reduction with endoscopic suturing

Dr. Witte’s general surgical practice areas of focus:

  • Advanced foregut surgery: minimally invasive surgical treatment of reflux (fundoplication), paraesophageal hernia, and esophageal motility disorders (myotomy)
  • Abdominal wall reconstruction: surgical management of complex ventral hernias, massive hernias with loss of abdominal domain, and recurrent failed hernia repair
  • Surgical endoscopy: management of GI tract perforations and postoperative anastomotic leaks via endoscopic suturing or clips, and endoluminal vacuum therapy
