I strive to guide my patients using the latest scientific evidence and available technology and provide ample time for discussion of treatment options in order to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

Dr. Amer is a board-certified cardiologist with additional training and certification in the use of minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat disorders of the heart and blood vessels. A major focus of Dr. Amer’s practice involves work in the cardiac catheterization lab, where he uses catheter-based techniques such as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) to open blocked or narrowed arteries that supply the heart. He has a particular interest in treating complex and total blockages of a coronary artery. Dr. Amer uses similar techniques to treat peripheral arterial disease, including narrowing or blockage of arteries supplying blood to the legs, arms, kidneys and other vital organs.
