Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program
Intensive Outpatient Programs for mental health diagnoses
Mirmont Treatment Center offers quality care for individuals with mental health diagnoses. Our outpatient programs are structured and designed for those needing a higher level of intensity, but who do not require 24-hour inpatient care. Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are designed for those in need of more support than once-weekly therapy.
Mirmont Outpatient Centers provide Intensive Outpatient Programs for individuals 14 years and older. These levels of care are composed of the following features:
- Group therapy
- Symptom management
- Medication management
- Individualized treatment plans
- Trauma-informed care
In a supportive environment that includes individualized treatment planning, our specialists help patients develop skills, attitudes and behaviors for living a healthy life. During group therapy, patients meet and connect with others who are experiencing similar problems with mental health concerns. Sharing stories, ideas and support through group therapy can make a big difference in helping achieve goals.
Young Adult Intensive Outpatient Program for mental health support
Mirmont Outpatient Centers offers a mental health intensive outpatient program for young adults, age 18 through 25. This program is appropriate for young adults who are experiencing mental health symptoms and struggling with the stressors of daily life, whether at school, at home or in the community. Group members will learn new skills to improve their overall wellness and ability to cope with challenges unique to the young adult population.
Through the IOP we offer young adults:
- Understanding mental health disorders
- Learning and using healthy coping skills
- Cultivating mindfulness
- Emotion regulation
- Building confidence and self-esteem
Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program for mental health support
Mirmont Outpatient Centers offer group therapy programs for adolescents ages 14 through 17 who are struggling with a mental health diagnosis. These programs provide the structure and frequency found in inpatient programs, but do not require 24-hour inpatient care. As part of the program, our treatment team collaborates with adolescents’ families and schools to coordinate care and best ensure success in the home environment.
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are designed for those in need of more support than once-weekly therapy. Multiple weekly sessions of support groups are held after school hours.
Through the IOP we offer adolescents:
- Psychoeducation of coping skills effective for adolescents
- Mindfulness techniques that are incorporated into daily coping skill practices
- Relapse prevention and trigger identification
- Focus on healthy relationships and boundary-setting at home, at school and with friends
If your child or student is struggling with mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-harm or adjustment issues, we have group supported programs to help
