Bryn Mawr Hospital Women’s Board presents $308,000 check to Bryn Mawr Hospital

Each year, the Bryn Mawr Hospital Women’s Board raises funds for the hospital for a variety of different programs and initiatives. From July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023, the Women’s Board donated an extraordinary $308,000 for Bryn Mawr Hospital. Jen McAleese (left), FY23 Women’s Board Vice Chair, and Rhonda Mordy (right), FY23 Women’s Board Chair, presented John Schwarz, President of Bryn Mawr Hospital, with a check to recognize the donation. The funds were raised through a number of community events including a “Fashion Emergency” fashion show and shopping event, golf outing and annual proceeds from the Bryn Mawr Hospital Thrift and gift shops.
“We are extremely grateful to the Women's Board for their years of incredible generosity and ongoing support of Bryn Mawr Hospital,” says John Schwarz, President, Bryn Mawr Hospital.

The Women's Board of Bryn Mawr Hospital has been active for more than 125 years. In addition to recent pledges to help build the patient pavilion, double the capacity of the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and modernize the Interventional Procedure Suite, the Women’s Board also provides annual support for various needs. Some programs that benefit from ongoing support include the Wig Program, the Breast Center and the Halloween Diabetes Candy Exchange, among others.
Jen McAleese, FY24 Women’s Board Chair says, “Bryn Mawr Hospital is known for the excellent and compassionate care it provides and it’s a privilege to serve on the Women’s Board and support the hospital that has given so much to our community.”
