Dr. Peter R. Kowey is Chief Emeritus of the Division of Cardiovascular Disease at Main Line Health and a nationally recognized leader in cardiac electrophysiology, arrhythmia management, and cardiovascular pharmacology. He is Professor of Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and holds the William Wikoff Smith Chair in Cardiovascular Research at the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research.

Dr. Kowey has held major leadership roles across Main Line Health and Lankenau’s cardiovascular programs, including serving as Chief of Cardiovascular Diseases for Main Line Health and President of The Heart Center of Lankenau, Bryn Mawr, and Paoli Hospitals. His academic work has shaped contemporary understanding of arrhythmia care, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, and clinical electrophysiology.
