General Surgery
Board certified since 2012
Surgery was a natural career choice for me. I love using my hands and am fascinated with the workings of the human body. These interests, combined with my desire to help people as directly as possible, led me to become a surgeon. As a physician, my goal is to provide excellent care while making each patient feel cared for. I want them to know they have been heard, and that their concerns, lifestyle, and support system were kept in mind when choosing a treatment plan. I never take for granted the trust someone puts in me to be their surgeon, and I strive to uphold that trust with every decision I make regarding their care.
Dr. Sees is a board-certified general surgeon on the busy surgical team at Paoli Hospital. She specializes in robotic and advanced laparoscopic surgery and opts for a minimally invasive approach to surgery whenever it is possible and appropriate for a patient. In practice in Chester County since 2012, Dr. Sees is experienced in treating the full range of disorders general surgeons are trained to address. This includes colon cancer and benign (noncancerous) disorders of the colon, hernias that occur anywhere in the abdomen or pelvis, breast cancer, gallstones, appendicitis, stomach ulcers, and gastrointestinal bleeding—to name just a few. Importantly, Dr. Sees also manages patients who come to the Paoli Hospital emergency department needing urgent surgical assessment or treatment for an acute abdominal condition. Dr. Sees has a special interest in treating hernias and an appreciation for the precise melding of structural mechanics and tissue healing that must be considered when fixing them. She also is passionate about the role she plays in treating breast cancer and strives to bring compassion and clarity to the care of patients facing breast cancer surgery.
