My main focus with each patient visit is to listen to the patient, and I strive to address each patient concern. I place a strong emphasis on education and do my best to make sure the patient understands the treatment plan. In addition, I read and attend meetings regularly to make sure I am always up to date on current and state of the art treatment approaches.

About Michael J. Prematta, MD

Dr. Michael Prematta was born in Reading, PA in 1979. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at Penn State University in 2001 before completing medical school at the Penn State University College of Medicine in 2005. He completed a three year internship and residency in Internal Medicine followed by a two year Allergy/Immunology fellowship at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. From 2010 to 2015 he worked as an Allergist in a practice in West/Central Pennsylvania and was associated with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Michael Prematta has published in many medical journals and authored a chapter in a textbook devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of allergic diseases. He continues to participate in medical education and serves as a board member for the Pennsylvania Allergy and Asthma Association where he also served as the 2015 Meeting Program Chair. He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American College of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Michael Prematta has a special interest in treating patients with asthma, allergic rhinitis, angioedema, urticaria, food allergies and immune deficiencies.
