Provider Bio

Kelly Driscoll, MA

Kelly completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Services Counseling and Psychology at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. She began working with Child and Youth Services in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In the pursuit of higher learning, Kelly decided to return to the Philadelphia area to continue education at Thomas Jefferson University. She has almost 20 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings including outpatient specialty clinics that provide medication-assisted therapy (MAT), crisis intervention within the hospital emergency room setting, structured outpatient programs, Philadelphia treatment court, inpatient substance abuse, and addiction-free pain management. Over the past decade she has provided chronic pain management education and therapy to clients with catastrophic injuries in a hospital level of care. The program was designed to address detox, functional restoration, and addiction pain syndrome. It allows chronic pain clients to explore the possibility of freedom from suffering. She has a broad range of clinical experience working with people and groups from ages eight to 80 years old.

Kelly emphasizes the mutual development of goals for therapy and the provision of ongoing evaluation of the therapeutic approach. Services can include individual, couples, family and group therapy. Kelly is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, Women's Trauma Recovery Empowerment Model, denial management, relapse prevention, addiction-free pain management (Gorski, Grinstead: CENAPS), motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy and crisis intervention. She continues to look to expand her skill and knowledge base. Kelly is invested in emphasizing a more integrative, dynamic, and holistic approach to mental health. She is particularly concerned with the impact of trauma and improving intervention to support trauma recovery for better emotional, physical and relationship health.
