About Joseph M. Gobern, MD, FACOG

I am an obstetrician/gynecologist with advanced training in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted gynecologic surgery. Although I specialize in surgical gynecology, I am committed to providing the best possible care for each patient, which may be a non-surgical procedure or include medications. Sometimes, the best option involves coordination of treatment by a group of specialists. Much of my practice is dedicated to the care of women suffering from pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, sexual dysfunction, or other symptoms of benign (non-cancerous) conditions that can develop in the pelvic regions of a woman’s body. Minimally invasive surgery can play an important role in treating these conditions, particularly if the problem is complex or severe.

Dr. Gobern’s areas of expertise include:

  • Minimally invasive (laparoscopic, hysteroscopic) and robotic-assisted gynecologic surgery
  • Diagnosis and treatment of uterine fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, endometriosis, and non-cancerous tumors
  • Gender: Male
  • Years of Experience: 19
