We will address your skin care needs – acne, warts, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, allergic reactions, infections- to name just a few common skin conditions. We are committed to providing you with options in treatment and working together to decide on a treatment plan.

Full skin exams, as recommended by the American Academy of Dermatology, are an important aspect of preventative healthcare. Early diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer and precancerous conditions can positively impact overall health. We will take our time to provide you with this important exam and address your concerns.

And, finally, we are here to address your cosmetic needs by providing you with a full consultation focused on your concerns and desired outcomes to decide on your best treatment options.

About Erum N. Ilyas, MD

Erum Ilyas, MD is a board certified dermatologist who performs adult and pediatric medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and skin cancer treatment. Dr. Ilyas grew up in Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland, cum laude, with both a Bachelor of Arts and Science. She received her medical degree from the MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society.

She then completed an Internship in Internal Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital. She completed her Dermatology training at the Cooper University Hospital of UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in Camden, New Jersey where she also served as Chief Resident of Dermatology.

After residency she has practiced general dermatology in the suburbs of Philadelphia, the Main Line, and Boston over the past several years.

She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, Fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, member of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology, and Philadelphia Dermatological Society.

Dr. Ilyas is currently completing a Masters in Bioethics (MBE) at the University of Pennsylvania, Perelman School of Medicine.

Dr. Ilyas has served as System Chief of Dermatology for Main Line Health. She is now joining the Drexel University School of Medicine Department of Dermatology Faculty to continue training Dermatology Residents and pursue further work in the area of Medical Bioethics.

She has presented nationally and authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters. She has a particular interest in skin cancer, acne, rashes, pediatric dermatology, and treatment of leg veins. She is married and has 3 young children.
