Eric B. Smith, MD

Dr. Smith is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon with the Rothman Institute and Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University. He is a Board Member of the Rothman Institute and is on numerous hospital, regional and national committees promoting and improving care in orthopaedic surgery. His medical training was performed entirely at Jefferson Medical College/University graduating cum laude (2000), completing residency (2005), and Adult Reconstruction fellowship (2006). He specializes in hip and knee replacement and revision surgeries, performing approximately 600 procedures annually. He published numerous articles and book chapters and presented at national and international meetings. Prior to his medical career, he worked with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and was on the team that won the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 1992.
