Alan R. Wofsey, M.D. is an adult and adolescent psychiatrist who treats individuals and couples, as well as families, with marital, relationship, academic and career issues. He specializes in adolescent and adult Attention Deficit Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, anxiety and depression. Dr. Wofsey graduated Yale University Cum Laude and received his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. While at Johns Hopkins, he was awarded a Henry Strong Dennison Research Scholarship in psychopharmacology. Dr. Wofsey completed his internship at the University of Pennsylvania and his specialty training at a Harvard University hospital. He is Board Certified in Psychiatry and has served as a Board Examiner for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Lectures have included a presentation to the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Adolescent Psychiatry, as well as Grand Rounds for a Main Line Health medical staff audience. Dr. Wofsey has been Chief of Psychiatry at the Lankenau Medical Center and Clinical Associate Professor in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Currently he is a member of the Review Board of the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research.
