The Institute for Diversity in Health Management orchestrates the Summer Enrichment Program, an internship that places diverse, graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in health care administration or a related field in 10-week, paid internship at health care organizations. Experienced administrators serve as preceptors and mentors, providing support and career advice as well as those critical early-career connections.

- Summer Enrichment Program internships last for 10 weeks, typically from June through August.
- Interns are diverse graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in health care administration or a related field.
- Interns complete an independently designed special project intended to benefit the hospital after the internship concludes.
- Since 1994, more than 1,300 interns have participated in the Summer Enrichment Program across the country.
If you are a graduate student in a MHA/MPH/MBA or comparable degree, have a 3.0 or higher GPA, are a U.S. Citizen, and have an interest in expanding your knowledge and experience through a summer internship, please apply through the Institute of Diversity website (The deadline for applications is March 5th, but you can still apply if you are interested.)
