Amber’s brain injury story
A car accident 1,200 miles away from home left Amber with a traumatic brain injury, multiple bone fractures, and the inability walk, talk, and do some of the activities she had come to recognize as habits, like brushing her hair or washing her face. When it came time for her parents to choose a physical rehabilitation center, a family member suggested Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital.
With the help of her therapy team, Amber began conquering tasks that had—only months earlier—seemed insurmountable. Amber and her family credit the Bryn Mawr Rehab give her the new start she needed for her new life.
