Plans to fit your lifestyle and wellness goals

The New Direction® Weight Loss System is a complete nutritional food replacement program designed to help overweight and obese people lose weight safely and quickly and achieve weight loss goals. There are two primary options: a very low calorie diet for those with a BMI (body mass index) greater than 30, or greater than 27 if there are other heath conditions, and a low calorie diet for those with a BMI of 25 or greater. The New Direction Weight Loss system includes medical, diabetic and bariatric surgery standards and involves four phases:

  • Screening – Patients are medically screened to determine eligibility to participate in the New Direction System. This includes a physical examination, review of medical history and laboratory testing.
  • Reducing – Active Weight Loss, using four nutritionally complete products daily, participants begin to learn and practice weight management skills without the influence of food.
  • Adapting – While practicing their newly learned eating and exercise habits, participants gradually transition back to grocery meals.
  • Maintenance – Continuing support using relapse prevention and individualized meal plans with one to two products daily helps patients live a healthier lifestyle long-term.
