Hip and knee replacement pre-op class
These classes are intended for patients who are scheduled to have a joint replacement at one of our hospitals.
We strongly suggest you attend a pre-op class, as we have found that they are helpful in preparation for this elective procedure. We will discuss joint replacement basics as well as what you need to do before surgery, expectations for the day of surgery and after surgery, and discharge planning information. Questions are taken throughout the class.
Busy schedule? Live far away? If you’re unable to make the in-person class or webinar presentation, you can watch an online version to help you understand your surgery from pre-op through discharge and after care. Get the information you need and ask questions from the comfort of your own home.
To watch a recorded version of the pre-op class online, start by choosing the hospital where you’ll be having surgery:
After your hip or knee replacement
We invite those who have had a hip or knee replacement at a Main Line Health hospital to view our post-op expectations presentation. It is an informational guide covering discharge planning and equipment, physical expectations, risks and preventing complications.
