Main Line Health and UnitedHealthcare Reach Agreement in Principle
Your access to care is protected
Main Line Health and UnitedHealthcare have reached an agreement in principle and expect to finalize terms shortly. Our current contract is being extended to allow time for that process to be completed. In the meantime, nothing changes. Your access to Main Line Health hospitals, physicians and specialists remains fully in-network.
What this means for you
- No changes to your coverage: UnitedHealthcare members remain fully in-network at all Main Line Health facilities.
- No disruption in treatment: Ongoing care and scheduled procedures will continue as planned.
- No action required: You do not need to do anything. We will share a final update once the agreement is fully executed.
Why this matters
This agreement is a win for patients, families and employers across southeastern Pennsylvania. It ensures:
- Continued access to high-quality, affordable and local care.
- Fair reimbursement that reflects the true cost and complexity of modern healthcare.
- Reduction in administrative barriers — including prior authorization delays and claim denials — that can slow or disrupt care.
- Strengthened investment in our people, facilities and technology to meet the region's growing needs.
Our commitment to you
At Main Line Health, our mission has always been clear: to serve our community with compassion, excellence and respect. We are grateful for your patience and support throughout this process, and we remain deeply committed to protecting your access to the care you deserve.
