Philadelphia Magazine publishes its list to help people find the best healthcare by connecting patients with experts in their field, helping to drive better clinical and health outcomes through decision-making informed by relevant information, data and analytics.

Philadelphia Magazine partners with Castle Connolly, an independent healthcare research firm, to compile the Top Doctors list using its physician-led team of researchers. Physicians throughout the region are selected across a wide array of specialties, such as cardiology, dermatology, orthopedics and pediatrics. Overall, the magazine named 3,086 physicians to the list.
