Main Line HealthCare Welcomes Ed O’Dell, DO, FACOI, as New Vice President of Medical Affairs

Bryn Mawr, PAMain Line Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Ed O’Dell, DO, FACOI, to the newly created position of Vice President of Medical Affairs (VPMA) at Main Line HealthCare. Alongside Stephanie Mostone, Vice President of Advanced Practice Providers and Patient Care Services; and Jeanie Carpenter, Vice President of Operations, Dr. O'Dell will be part of the senior leadership team at Main Line HealthCare. Dr. O’Dell brings his years of clinical experience and skilled expertise to Main Line Health, having most recently served as the Chief Medical Officer for Nazareth Hospital and Saint Mary Medical Center.

As a seasoned leader, Dr. O’Dell has held several key roles throughout his career that have prepared him to lead our physicians at MLHC. Dr. O’Dell will also guide coding education initiatives, helping physicians stay current on best practices for documentation and compliance, which is vital for both quality care and operational efficiency. Additionally, he’ll play a central role in championing physician development through programs such as structured onboarding for new providers, ensuring a smooth transition into our organization’s culture and workflows.

A board-certified internist, Dr. O’Dell completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and his internal medicine residency at Mercy Suburban Hospital in East Norriton. His professional focus includes hospital and outpatient ambulatory medicine, with a special interest in diabetes care and prevention, musculoskeletal injury care and occupational medicine. He is a member of several professional medical organizations and holds numerous board certifications.

Dr. O’Dell’s leadership will be instrumental in supporting Main Line Health’s strategic growth and advancing its physician network.
