Main Line Health names Cheryl Straup as new Associate Vice President/Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer

Bryn Mawr, PAMain Line Health has appointed Cheryl Straup, a talented executive with in-depth knowledge and expertise in health care compliance, as its new Associate Vice President and Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer. She officially joins the system on November 6.

Straup comes to Main Line Health from Advocare LLC, a large multispecialty physician group based in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, where she has served as Vice President of Compliance, Audit and Privacy. Previously, she served as the Deputy Enterprise Chief Compliance Officer at Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health.

Straup also held compliance and privacy leadership roles at Tenet Healthcare Corp. and Inspira Health System. Earlier in her career, Cheryl worked at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in revenue integrity, health information management and utilization management roles.

Her role will be devoted to ensuring Main Line Health complies with outside regulatory and legal requirements as well as internal policies and bylaws and strict ethical standards.

Cheryl is a graduate of Penn State University and received a master's degree in jurisprudence and health law from Widener University School of Law.
