Bryn Mawr, PAMain Line Health has achieved a No. 7 ranking in Forbes’ 2023 list of America’s Best Employers By State among all Pennsylvania mid- to large-size companies, signifying its success as an employer that attracts and retains high-quality employees.

The ranking is based on an anonymous survey of 70,000 employees across the United States at companies with more than 500 employees. Workers were asked to rate their own employer as well as others in categories such as work environment, compensation, diversity, opportunities for advancement and pride in the company’s services.

“It’s such an extraordinary honor to be ranked seventh in the entire state among all companies, not just health systems,” said Jack Lynch, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer, Main Line Health. “The credit goes to each of our nearly 14,000 employees. They are what make Main Line Health so special. They are skilled, dedicated and take pride in delivering safe, high-quality, equitable and affordable care to the community we serve.”

This year marks Main Line Health’s first time in the magazine’s state-by-state rankings. Just 18 Pennsylvania employers in the healthcare and social grouping were part of the list, with Main Line Health ranking second. The health system was among only 97 Keystone State employers on the overall list.

Earlier this year, Main Line Health also made Forbes’ list of America’s Best Employers for Diversity for the first time and was named CertifiedTM by Great Place To Work® for the second year in a row.

“Our culture of caring is why patients come to Main Line Health,” said Pam Teufel, senior vice president, human resources, Main Line Health. “We have a work environment that is second to none and is a direct result of our commitment to diversity, teamwork, collaboration, mutual respect and trust. We are committed to providing the best employee experience and adding new benefits to bring in and retain top talent.”

Tuition reimbursement and loan forgiveness, fertility benefits, parental leave, and child, adult, and elder-care benefits are among the benefits offered to employees. Main Line Health also focuses on developing employees into lifelong learners and providing them with a wide offering of career development programs.
