Radnor, PA — Main Line Health has elected Steven Higgins as Chair of its Board of Governors and named three new Trustees with extensive backgrounds in nursing, healthcare consulting and corporate diversity. All roles are effective July 1, 2022.

Higgins, a current board Trustee, is a managing director of Delancey Street Partners, an independent, industry-focused investment bank based in Montgomery County, PA. He takes over as Chair from Elizabeth “Betsy” Balderston, who completed a four-year term.

Higgins has more than 20 years of diverse transactional experience including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, financings and other advisory roles. His client list includes owner-entrepreneurs, privately held middle market companies, financial sponsors and larger public and private corporations.

Before joining Delancey Street, Higgins was a managing director at Baker Tilly Capital, where he was responsible for transaction execution and served as a senior member of the firm’s healthcare practice. Prior to Baker Tilly, Higgins was a managing director with Janney Montgomery Scott, where he had responsibility for transaction execution and coordinating the firm’s relationships with the private equity community. He has also held senior positions with middle market advisory firms including Stifel Nicolaus and Legg Mason.

Higgins is joined by the following three new board Trustees:

Mary Beth Kingston is the Chief Nursing Officer for Advocate Aurora Health Care based in Illinois and Wisconsin. The Newtown Square resident has overseen nursing integration since the 2018 merger of Aurora Health Care, where she had been Executive Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, with Advocate Health. Kingston is a member of the System Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for nursing strategic direction, practice, standards, professional development and patient experience. During her time at Aurora Health Care, she developed a nursing/finance collaborative initiative that resulted in a standardized approach to nursing budget, staffing and operations, and also oversaw initiatives related to workplace safety and preventing workplace violence. Kingston was Vice President and Chief Nurse Executive at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia from 2004-2012. She is also a member of the American Hospital Association’s Board of Trustees.

Bradford (Ford) Koles Jr. is Vice President and national spokesperson for Washington-based Advisory Board Company, a global, publicly traded research, technology and consulting firm focused on the health care and education industries that serves over 4,000 of the nation’s leading health care providers. He is a nationally recognized thought leader on health care public policy, economics and strategy. He has participated in every major Advisory Board research initiative since 1992. Previously, he was a management consultant for the Hay Group, of Philadelphia, and Ernst & Young.

Dalila Wilson-Scott, a Villanova resident, is Executive Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer of Comcast Corp. and President of the Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation. She oversees all Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives and philanthropic strategy for the corporation, including its $100 million commitment to advance social justice and equality. Wilson-Scott also leads Comcast’s community impact initiatives, working across the organization to provide strategic leadership throughout all aspects of its corporate social responsibility programs, including employee engagement and volunteerism. She joined Comcast in 2016 after more than 16 years at JPMorgan Chase & Co., where she served as head of Global Philanthropy and President of the JPMorgan Chase Foundation.

“I’m very fortunate to not only have the opportunity to step into the leadership role for the Main Line Health Board of Governors, but also to be joined by such impressive individuals,” Higgins said. “The varied experience of these newly elected board Trustees will be an asset in helping Main Line Health provide the highest quality care for its patients and serving its communities.”

Jack Lynch, President and CEO of Main Line Health, commented: “We thank our outgoing Chair, Betsy Balderston, for providing tremendous leadership, support and friendship throughout her tenure to all of us at Main Line Health. On behalf of our senior leadership team, I welcome our new board Chair, Steven Higgins, along with Mary Beth, Ford and Dalila, who will all be valuable additions to our board.”
