W. K. Tsai, MD
Dr. Tsai is a cardiologist with advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias). He treats all types of arrhythmias, from common conditions such as atrial fibrillation (Afib) to rare, potentially life-threatening disorders. Dr. Tsai specializes in minimally invasive procedures performed directly on the heart to treat the cause of the abnormal rhythms. He also manages arrhythmias with pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator devices, which function within the heart to maintain normal heart rhythm. A further procedure he offers is left atrial appendage closure, to prevent blood clots from forming in patients with Afib. Dr. Tsai practiced for 12 years before joining Main Line Health.
