About
Thomas C. Dowd, MD
Dr. Dowd is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle conditions. He completed his residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, followed by fellowship training with the Harvard Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Program in Boston, MA. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and former Division I swimmer, Dr. Dowd served 20 years on active duty in the U.S. Army, including four deployments, a tour in Landstuhl, and nearly 15 years at Brooke Army Medical Center, where he directed the Orthopedic Residency Program. He has also authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.
