MAIN LINE HEALTH CLINICIAN
Headshot of Monali Shah, DO

I strive to offer my patients the type of care I would want for myself or my family, which is personalized cardiovascular care based in a partnership with the patient and guided by current best evidence. Before offering a care plan, I get to know patients and their mindset so I can anticipate concerns or hesitation to follow my recommendations. I want patients to understand and agree with whatever care plan I am offering, as this is the heart of our partnership.

About

Monali Shah, DO

Dr. Shah is a general cardiologist specializing in all aspects of heart health for adults. She joined Lankenau Heart Institute in 2023, after 3 years in practice with Temple Heart and Vascular Institute at Jeanes Hospital. Dr. Shah’s practice is dedicated to caring for people with or at risk for common heart and vascular (blood vessel) disorders such as coronary artery disease, high cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, valvular heart disease, abnormal heart rhythms, and heart failure. She has a deep commitment to helping patients understand their personal risk for cardiovascular disease and then take steps to lower their risk. An important part of her work is using and interpreting imaging tests to evaluate, diagnose, and manage heart disease, including advanced forms of echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography (CT), and nuclear imaging of the heart. Dr. Shah has a strong interest in valvular heart disease, which requires periodic imaging and individualized treatment. She also is interested and experienced in heart care during cancer treatment, with a focus on ensuring that patients get maximum benefit from cancer therapy without harm to their heart.
