Michele Gallagher, LPC
Michele is a psychotherapist who incorporates an integrative approach when working with adolescents, young adults, adults and families in both outpatient group and individual therapy. Michele encourages compassion for self and others, self-awareness and positive behavioral changes by promoting mindful meditative practices, motivational interviewing, Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT), and positive psychology.
Michele has been a leader and a member of various spiritual groups and art institutions. She is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and recognized as a nationally certified counselor (NCC).
Michele's creative energy and authentic direct approach with patients quickly inspires trust and positive connections.
Michele is a graduate of Boston College where she received a BS degree in marketing management. For 6 years she worked in corporate marketing, research, and advertising. While raising children, Michele returned to school to study the visual arts at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. She worked as a professional artist exhibiting in galleries throughout the country for 25 years. Michele returned to graduate school where she received an MS degree in pastoral clinical mental health counseling from Neumann University. She worked as a therapist in both the university and high school settings before joining Mirmont Outpatient Center.
