About

Mark J. Ingerman, MD

An avid sports fan and Philadelphia native, Dr. Ingerman earned his B.S. in Natural Sciences from Muhlenberg College. He attended Jefferson Medical College, after which he completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Lankenau Medical Center. He then pursued a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and has also held faculty positions at Hahnemann University and the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He currently serves as the Chief of Infectious Diseases as well as the Chairman of Infection Control and Prevention for Main Line Health Hospitals. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Philadelphia County Medical Society and a Fellow of the Infectious Disease Society of America and the American College of Physicians. He has received multiple awards for his role in teaching at both Lankenau Medical Center and Chestnut Hill Hospitals. He has been named as a Top Doc by Philadelphia Magazine and Main Line Today several times. He serves on the Quality and Safety Committee for Lankenau Medical Center and Main Line Health, which is a reflection of his strong commitment to improving the caliber of care for all patients. Favorite activities outside of work include skiing, golfing and spending time with his family. He carries over 30 years of experience to Delaware Valley I.D. Associates. In honor of Dr. Ingerman's excellent medical care for over 10 years to Walter and Leonore Annenberg, they donated $20 million dollars to the Lankenau Medical Center for the purposes of medical research. $2 million of that has been dedicated to the prevention of hospital associated infections.
