Mark F. Kurd, MD
Dr. Kurd is an ABOS board-certified spine surgeon and professor of orthopaedic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. He specializes in minimally invasive spinal procedures of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine.He graduated from Georgetown University with a BA in economics and received his MD from Thomas Jefferson University where he was president of the AOA Honors Medical Society. Dr. Kurd completed his orthopaedic residency at The Rothman Orthopaedic Institute at Thomas Jefferson University and completed a fellowship in spinal surgery at Rush University Medical Center.Dr. Kurd has published several scientific articles and book chapters and has presented his research nationally and internationally. He has a particular interest in novel approaches to peri-operartive pain management.
