At Women's Emotional Wellness Center, our central intake team will screen every patient, conduct a needs assessment and determine the best approach to care (i.e. individual and/or group therapy). At times, there may be limited access to individual therapy.
Lauren is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive clinical experience working with adults, families and medical professionals to assure a patient's continuity of care. For over ten years Lauren has worked in skilled nursing facilities trained in individual psychotherapy related to depression, anxiety,adjustment difficulty, grief and bereavement counseling. She has helped patients cope with unwanted physiological and emotional changes using practices such as a strength based approach, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy. She helps clients explore their emotional range, develop strategies and coping skills to change unproductive behaviors and negative thought patterns. Lauren creates a warm and nonjudgmental space for self-exploration and growth. Lauren received her undergraduate degree in sociology from Muhlenberg College. She then continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice earning a master's degree in social work. Lauren is honored to have the opportunity to support women as they embark on their emotional journey to wellness.
