Dr. Joanna D. Bell grew up in Swarthmore, PA. Her father was also an internist, caring for many people in her small town, and served as a role model for her in terms of developing her practice style.
Dr. Bell graduated from Haverford College in 1997, receiving a B.A. in Spanish. She attended MCP-Hahnemann
Medical College ( now Drexel University College of Medicine), where she served as one of the presidents of her class and graduated in 2001 with A.O.A. distinction.
Dr. Bell completed a residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Brown University in Providence, RI. During that time, she traveled to Cambodia and Honduras to provide medical care.
After completing her residency, she returned to Philadelphia to be closer to family. She was on the faculty of Drexel University College of Medicine from 2005-2014.
In 2014, Dr. Bell joined Radnor Family Practice in Radnor, PA. She has been very happy with this change, as it allows her to do what she does best - take care of patients.
She lives in Wayne, PA with her husband, who is also a physician, and 2 daughters. When she isn't working, Dr. Bell enjoys spending time with family, traveling, playing tennis, running and trying out new recipes.
