Elizabeth (Liz) is a licensed clinical social worker with experience providing individual and group therapy to a diverse group of adult and adolescent clients. She has experience supporting clients coping with substance abuse, healing from trauma, and those living with chronic and/or severe medical conditions and their caregivers. Liz believes in the importance of the therapeutic relationship and strives to create a safe and supportive environment for her clients, allowing for a collaborative process rooted in respect and compassion for each client along their path to wellness.
Liz comes from a strength-based perspective that supports each client in identifying and implementing strategies to effect healing and change. Liz received her Master's in Social Work from Fordham University's Graduate School of Social Service, and has additional post-graduate training in providing trauma informed care, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
