Accepting new patients
Headshot of Bruce Kornberg, DO

The role of the Lankenau Heart Group physician is one of both educator and healer, with the focus to treat each individual patient to improve longevity and quality of life. Not every patient needs to be treated in the same way, and our physicians take the patient's preference into account when tailoring a personalized course of treatment for them. We believe it is key to listen to our patient and their family members to make sure they have a complete understanding of their cardiac illness as well as their treatment options. For the best possible outcome, it is valuable for both the patient and their family to have a voice in the patient's care and be invested in their treatment plan.

Provider Bio

Bruce Kornberg, DO

I have been in practice for 33 years. I desire to take care of patients because I enjoy it. I get to know wonderful people from all walks of life. I try to educate them about their diseases and how they can help themselves feel better and live longer. I look at the whole patient and try to incorporate the physical and mental problems associated with their cardiac problems. I address their problems and fears in a open and honest mannerism. So they understand their disease better and are no longer fearful. I am a Cardiologist who is lucky enough to have spent his entire career in Philadelphia. I graduated from the Philadelphia college of osteopathic medicine in 1978 and remained there for three years to complete my internship and residency. I completed my last year of residency as chief resent and did a fellowship in cardiology at Deborah heart and lung center. I returned to the Philadelphia college of osteopathic medicine to join one of my trainers in cardiology to practice general cardiology in the western part of Philadelphia and the immediate suburbs. I practice clinical cardiology and teach students, interns residents and cardiology fellows on a daily basis. I have an interest in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. I have practiced for 32 years and still accept new patients and still enjoy practicing and helping patients on a daily basis.
