Accepting new patients
Headshot of Amit Bhojwani, DO, FACS, MS, MBS

As a physician and surgeon, I strive to provide my patients with the type of care and support I would want for myself or a loved one. In my specialty area, I am often called upon to surgically treat diseases that involve parts of the mouth, face, or neck. While my first concern is treating the problem and restoring a person to health, if the problem is a tumor, this can mean removing part of the jaw, tongue, mouth, or other structures important to function and physical appearance followed by reconstruction. I am grateful for the privilege to take care of these patients and getting them through a very challenging time in their lives.

Dr. Bhojwani provides care for the full spectrum of general otolaryngology conditions, but he has a passion for providing personalized, comprehensive care of patients with head and neck tumors. These conditions include oral and throat squamous cell carcinoma, skin cancers, thyroid and parathyroid tumors, and salivary gland tumors. Dr. Bhojwani’s initial training in treatment of head and neck tumors began during residency at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He then pursued a fellowship focused on surgical treatment of head and neck tumors and microvascular reconstruction. During his fellowship, he was part of a multidisciplinary care team for patients with head and neck cancers and performed more than 600 surgical procedures, involving tumor extirpation and robotic surgery, as well as more than 100 free flap reconstructive procedures. Dr. Bhojwani also provides minimally invasive transoral robotic surgery for tumors of the tonsils and base of the tongue, and he is actively involved in the thyroid cancer program at Main Line Health. Dr. Bhojwani holds academic appointments as Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) and the Uniformed Services University of The Health Sciences. He routinely teaches the PCOM otolaryngology residents in the operating room. He has numerous publications and has given lectures on a national level. In addition to his career and practice as a head and neck surgical specialist, Dr. Bhojwani has served in the United States Army National Guard and Reserves since 2003.
