At Women's Emotional Wellness Center, our central intake team will screen every patient, conduct a needs assessment and determine the best approach to care (i.e. individual and/or group therapy). At times, there may be limited access to individual therapy.
Amanda is a licensed clinical social worker and internationally-certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor with experience as a clinician and as a supervisor. Prior work experience includes treating addictions and mood disorders among adolescent and adult populations, as well as within the family system. She has done extensive work in the settings of individual, group and family therapy. Amanda employs a variety of therapeutic approaches, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy. She meets her patients where they are and holds the belief that each individual has their own journey. At the present time, Amanda is in the process of becoming an EMDR certified therapist and looks forward to employing the techniques it offers. Amanda graduated Cum Laude from Cabrini College with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and social work. She earned a Master's degree in social service from Bryn Mawr College of Social Work and Social Research. Amanda resumed her studies at Bryn Mawr College and obtained a post-masters certificate in cognitive behavioral therapy. Amanda is grateful for the opportunity to inspire women and their loved ones on a path towards wellness.
