This dynamic continuing education course is designed for athletic trainers, physical therapists, and physical therapist assistants seeking to enhance their expertise in the evaluation and treatment of hip and lumbopelvic conditions in athletes.
Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of lumbopelvic and hip anatomy and its application to clinical decision-making. Through a combination of evidence-based instruction and hands-on learning, attendees will explore common intra-articular and extra-articular hip pathologies, identify how anatomical impairments contribute to dysfunctional movement patterns, and develop practical skills in range of motion assessment, special testing, palpation, neuromuscular control evaluation, joint mobilization, soft tissue techniques, and targeted strengthening strategies.
The course also emphasizes functional anatomy, movement optimization, breathing strategies, and effective coaching cues to improve patient outcomes and athletic performance. Participants will be eligible to receive 4 contact hours (0.4 CEUs) for Athletic Training and Physical Therapy.
