2 ounces of unsweetened chocolate
1 stick of trans-fat-free margarine, softened
1 cup, Splenda
1 large egg
½ teaspoon of vanilla
¾ cup of whole wheat flour
¼ teaspoon of baking soda
½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
½ cup of chopped walnuts
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Melt chocolate in a small bowl in the microwave on high for one minute. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
3. In a large bowl, beat butter with Splenda. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in melted chocolate, then flour and baking soda. Add chocolate chips and nuts.
4. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto an un-greased baking sheet. Bake about eight minutes until bottom is firm. Cool on a wire rack.
