Ned Z. Carp, MD – Surgical Oncology Dr. Carp earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, completed his General Surgery Residency at Abington Memorial Hospital, and a Surgical Oncology Fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and specializes in Surgical Oncology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Radium Society, the Society for Surgical Oncology, and the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group. Dr. Carp is Chief of General Surgery at Lankenau Medical Center, Director of Surgical Oncology, and Pennsylvania State Chairman to the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Jefferson Medical College, and a Clinical Associate Professor of the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research. |

Robin M. Ciocca, DO – Breast Surgery Dr. Ciocca earned her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed her General Surgery Residency and Chief Residency at Lankenau Medical Center, and a Surgical Oncology Breast Fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, specializes in Breast Surgery, and is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American Society of Breast Disease, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons. Her practice is limited to the treatment of breast cancer as well as benign diseases of the breast. |

Jonathan Y. Gefen, MD – Laparoscopic Surgery / General Surgery Dr. Gefen earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, completed his General Surgery Residency at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital Center, a fellowship in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and a research fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Columbia University. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, and is a member of the American Hernia Society, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, and the Association for Surgical Education. Dr. Gefen is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Associate Program Director for the General Surgery Residency at Lankenau Medical Center, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Gefen specializes in hernia surgery and laparoscopic surgery. |

Robert B. Noone, MD – Colorectal Surgery Dr. Noone earned his medical degree from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, completed his General Surgery Residency at Duke University Medical Center, and Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He is board certified in both General and Colorectal Surgery, specializes in Colorectal Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), and the Pennsylvania Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Dr. Noone specializes in minimally invasive surgery of the colon and rectum, including laparoscopic colon surgery for cancer and benign diseases of the colon such as diverticulitis and colon polyps. He uses a novel technique for trans-anal excision of rectal tumors known as Transanal Endoscopic Microsurgery (TEM) that greatly extends the ability to remove lesions of the rectum with minimal discomfort. He performs other advanced laparoscopic procedures such as intestinal resection of inflammatory bowel disease, appendectomy, ventral hernia repair, cholecystectomy, and the surgical treatment of small bowel obstruction. He cares for all surgical problems of the colon, rectum, and anus, including colon and rectal cancers, hemorrhoids, anal fissures, abscess and fistulas, pilonidal disease, fecal incontinence, rectal prolapse, colon and rectal polyps, Crohn's Disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, small bowel tumors and obstruction. He also performs screening, diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy. He specializes in sphincter-sparing procedures to avoid permanent stomas and maintain bowel function with rectal cancer, as well as surgery for ulcerative colitis called a restorative proctocolectomy, or the "pelvic pouch" procedure. |

She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery as well as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group, Association of Women Surgeons, American Society of Breast Disease, and the Mammography Society of Philadelphia. Dr. Sabol is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Jefferson Medical College, and the Director of the Comprehensive Breast Center at Lankenau Medical Center. Her practice is limited to the treatment of breast cancer as well as benign diseases of the breast. |
