Do you enjoy helping others? Would you like to meet new friends? Do you have a few hours a week to spare? Join the growing family of volunteers at Bryn Mawr Hospital!
Volunteering at Bryn Mawr is a positive experience shared by close to 600 men, women and teens from our local community. Our volunteers include students, parents, grandparents, working professionals and retirees from all walks of life.
Volunteering at Bryn Mawr Hospital is rewarding, enjoyable and a great way to meet people. Strong bonds are formed between volunteers, patients and staff, and many of our volunteers have formed lasting friendships that have enriched their personal lives. Each year Bryn Mawr Hospital shows its appreciation for volunteer efforts by hosting a special volunteer luncheon featuring guest speakers and volunteer-service awards.
Bryn Mawr Hospital volunteer opportunities cover a wide range of needs and areas, so whatever your interests, talents or skills, we can find the fit that works for you. Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the Hospital.
Our Student Volunteer Program is available to teenagers over the age of 14 and to college students and offers opportunities for helping out after school and on weekends. Students are asked to commit to 50 hours of service for the school year. Adult volunteers are asked to commit to a three-to-four hour shift, at least one day a week.
If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, you will need to fill out an application, sign a confidentiality agreement and provide two references. Once your application is received, we will arrange a personal interview so that we can answer your questions and become more familiar with your interests and availability.
