Inpatient Psychiatric Care

Sometimes, getting help to feel better mentally and emotionally requires extra care. When you need more support as you seek healing, our team of behavioral health specialists at Main Line Health is here for you.

About inpatient psychiatric care

Bryn Mawr Hospital, part of Main Line Health, offers an all-inclusive inpatient psychiatric program, providing acute stabilization, crisis intervention and dual diagnosis treatment for individuals with behavioral health and substance use disorders. Individuals will have access to comprehensive treatment in a safe environment including comforts such as noise-cancelling floors and ceilings, ambient music and circadian lighting. There are also additional spaces dedicated to dining, relaxation and family time, so you can feel as comfortable as possible during your stay.

After a psychiatric and physical evaluation, you’ll meet daily with a member of your care team so that a treatment plan can be made that is tailored to your needs. A typical day might include therapy groups, community meetings with peers and meeting with a specialist for medication management and education.
