Practice Philosophy

Billie is a graduate of Delaware County Community College with a degree in behavioral health and has over 21 years of clinical experience. She has worked with both adolescents and adults who are diagnosed with substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and a history of trauma. She has facilitated gender-specific groups and family programs, and has been heavily involved in helping patients who are struggling with behaviors that have led to Children and Youth Services involvement and legal consequences. Billie has a passion for helping patients who struggle with behaviors and authority, providing them with a safe and supportive environment to heal. She also brings years of personal recovery experience which is an asset to her patients. Billie is well-versed in the 12 steps, having been actively involved in the program for over 20 years. She utilizes this insight to provide support when helping her patients understand the importance of giving back and connecting with others in the recovery community.
